Photography Classes
Photography speaks to us in ways no other medium can, using a language of light and shadow that is universal. Photographs can keep the memory of a loved one alive, hold a moment in history for future generations, or be a witness to tragedy or joy. Today's cameras bring amazing capabilities to the art, and the fact that everyone has a pretty capable camera on their smartphones means that the appeal of photography is growing like never before!
The Art League offers a range of photo classes designed to meet the needs of photographers on any level, using any camera, whether a smartphone, a DSLR, or a mirrorless camera. If you’ve ever thought about taking up photography seriously or improving and adding to your photographic skills, these classes are for you! You don’t need to be a member of the Art League to take these classes - anyone over 18 is welcome!

The Mentor Series
Customizable Private Photography Classes With professional photographer, Larry Johnson These unique and highly flexible courses are designed for photographers of every level, but especially appropriate for photographers with specific learning goals. Sessions are held in a fully equipped photographic studio at the New Braunfels Art League. The goal of these 4-hour blocks of training is to help photographers to rapidly learn or refine the techniques or skills that interest them and quickly expand their photographic range.
