Photography Classes
Photography speaks to us in ways no other medium can, using a language of light and shadow that is universal. Photographs can keep the memory of a loved one alive, hold a moment in history for future generations, or be a witness to tragedy or joy. Today's cameras bring amazing capabilities to the art, and the fact that everyone has a pretty capable camera on their smartphones means that the appeal of photography is growing like never before!
The Art League offers a range of photo classes designed to meet the needs of photographers on any level, using any camera, whether a smartphone, a DSLR, or a mirrorless camera. If you find one or more that you are interested in, you can register and pay the course fee easily online as well.
If you’ve ever thought about taking up photography seriously or improving and adding to your photographic skills, these classes are for you! You don’t need to be a member of the Art League to take these classes - anyone over 18 is welcome!

This is a highly individualized hands-on one-day photo-editing workshop. The topics and strategies we will learn are ideas common across all the major editing platforms. Once you understand them, a few minutes of editing can take an average picture to new levels!

This unique course is designed for photographers already confident in their photographic skills, and will be held in a fully equipped photographic studio at the New Braunfels Art League. The goal of the four sessions is to help good photographers rapidly learn new techniques or skills they want to have and to help them expand their photographic range.
