This special exhibition, now officially a part of the regional Central Texas photography festival known as Foto Setptiembre, is devoted to showcasing original photographs that document the depth and artistic range of the amazing photographers who live and work in Central Texas. We are looking for images that reveal the photographer’s technical and artistic competence, especially those in which the photographer clearly aims for something more than is expected. Successful submissions will be digital or film photographs that engage the viewer in classic, contemporary, or completely novel ways. Basic adjustments to submitted images, including edits and crops, are acceptable.
This show, officially the largest photographic exhibition the Art League has ever offered, was open to all Central Texas photographers, including New Braunfels Art League members and local and regional photographers. Five cash prizes were awarded to the top entries, as determined by the judge and detailed in the prospectus.
Entries for this show will be limited to traditional film and digital photography only. Images may be edited, but mixed media work and composited images will not be accepted.
