Discover the joy of creating whimsical mixed media flowers, beautifully arranged in charming vessels, set against a background bursting with intricate patterns. In this workshop, you'll explore the versatility of various materials, blending acrylic paint, metallic leaf, stencils, and your own gel-printed collage papers to craft a vibrant and dynamic piece of artwork.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, this class welcomes all skill levels, offering the opportunity to experiment with different textures, colors, and techniques. By the end, you'll have a unique, colorful masterpiece that reflects your creativity and personal style.
We Will Cover:
- Drawing from your imagination and provided samples
- OR incorporating long stemmed floral foam stamps available for purchase at the workshop
- How to be sure your collage fodder glues down flat
- How to create floral collages by integrating foreground and background
- How to create an underpainting with vibrant color and successful shading as a roadmap for collage
- How to paint your own collage papers using the gel plate
- How to rip and glue–applying your collage paper in a painterly manner
- How to tear with and without white edges
- How to vary your paper brush marks in size and shape
