Betty Franks is a self-taught abstract artist, born in Toronto, Canada, and raised in San Jose, California. After a long career in customer service management, Betty embraced her creative side at 50, proving it's never too late to pursue your passions.
Inspired by nature and fueled by vibrant color, she creates joyful and expressive artworks. Beyond her personal practice, Betty is passionate about empowering others, especially women over 50, to discover their unique artistic voices. Through online courses and workshops, she offers accessible instruction and a supportive community to unlock creative potential. She believes everyone can experience the joy of abstract art.

If you prefer to register via a paper form or pay by check, please click here for a form you can fill out by hand. Mail your form and check payable to the New Braunfels Art League, along with the name and year of the workshop, your phone number, and email address to: New Braunfels Art League, P. O. Box 310325, New Braunfels, TX 78131.
Refund Policy: Workshop fees, less a 10% processing fee, are refundable until 30 days before the workshop. All workshops have a minimum enrollment number and are not held if enrollments do not reach that number. Should NBAL need to cancel a workshop due to low enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be given. No refunds are provided less than 30 days before the workshop start date unless the seat is resold. In that event, any refunds are still subject to the standard 10% processing fee.
Workshop attendees must be 18 and older.
