This class is about improving drawing skills. We will be drawing from the live nude figure but we will also be spending time working together as a class on exercises to improve visualization and simplification of shape and form. Whether your focus outside of class is on the figure or not this workshop will help your observation skills and drawing facility regardless of subject.
Kraig Kiedrowski is a seasoned painter based in San Antonio, Texas, known for his landscape paintings and multi-media drawings. Born and raised in Montana, Kiedrowski's artistic journey began at Montana State University Billings and continued at the Art Students League in New York, where he honed his figure drawing skills. His early career began to flourish in Northern California, where the scenic beauty there inspired his outdoor paintings.
Kiedrowski is committed to nurturing artistic talent. He taught a weekly figure drawing class at the Coppini Academy of Fine Arts in San Antonio for nearly twenty years and has conducted workshops in landscape painting, pastels, and drawing in Texas and beyond.
The Hunt Gallery of San Antonio, Texas has represented his work since the early 2000's and hosted solo shows in 2004, 2006, 2009, 2014 and 2023. He also enters in national juried competitions and has been honored by awards and recognition. In 2019 he won first place in the "Spirit of Texas" national competition exhibited at the Witte Museum in San Antonio, Texas in conjunction with The San Antonio Art League.
